Financial Analyst II - Budget This position will serve as a Financial Analyst in the Office of SVC Health Sciences ($30 million annual operating budget), and the School of Medicine Division Administration ($61 million annual operating budget). Responsibilities in this area include preparing monthly financial statements, analyzing activities, explaining variances, forecasting results, preparing annual budgets, and suggesting improvements to current accounting processes.Job Duties:Prepares and analyzes financial data for senior management in budgetary and financial planning.Monitors, analyzes, and tracks budgets and budgetary developments; prepare regular statements and reports. Reviews financial and budgetary proposals. Monitors, tracks, analyzes and evaluates expenses. Assists in preparing complex financial reports and financial statements. Ensures regularity compliance of all University budgets and reporting. Job Summary Prepares and analyzes financial data for senior leadership in budgetary and financial planning. Tracks and analyzes budgetary developments. Reviews financial and budgetary proposals and assists in preparing complex reports and statements. Essential Functions Proficient in ExcelGood verbal and written communication skills, as this position requires interaction with senior leadership from both the University of Pittsburgh and UPMCDetail orientedStrong understanding of accounting principles Physical Effort Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
