Job Overview

Komatsu is embarking on an enterprise-wide initiative to transform our digital experience. This role will re-build the Komatsu websites and digital applications supporting online sales of parts, training courses and technology subscriptions.

Primary responsibilities include developing new website functionality, integrations between applications and organizing the development performed by third-party consultants. Developing a foundational knowledge of business objectives will be key to improving the customer experience across apps and increasing online sales.

Key Job Responsibilities

Own the development and maintenance of our primary websites and digital products

Merge several customer facing websites into a single website with a common set of technology

Partner with vendors, marketing and IT teams to develop and progress the organization’s digital strategy and roadmap

Provide recommendations on technology architecture

Support the execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns with landing page creation, page tagging, web forms and lead tracking through to Salesforce

Own the setup and configuration on an eCommerce platform and content management system

Perform day-to-day development building new functionality, enhancements and integrations

Manage and curate a development backlog and release schedules which aligns with business priorities.

Host and participate in stand-up calls with vendors overseeing, organizing and coordinating development activities

Implement SEO best practices supporting optimal page speed and core web vitals

Facilitate and participate in QA and user acceptance testing

Troubleshoot and resolve technical bugs

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience developing on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce is required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, business administration or related discipline desired or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience building B2B and B2C eCommerce websites

Exceptional subject matter expertise in eCommerce best practices in a B2B, B2C, and B2B2C business models with complex account-based relationships with dealers and customers.

Strong experience with Javascript, Reactjs, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js

Modern web development practices including implementing UX best practices, responsive design and mobile first layouts.

Experience with integrating multiple technology platforms; eCommerce, Content Management Systems, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, Marketing Automation, Analytics and Tag Management, Identify Access Management and Learning Management Systems.

Experience developing in an API-first, headless eCommerce environment.

Experience leading, organizing, overseeing and releasing third-party development activities

Experience implementing on-site personalization based on a user’s profile settings

Experience implementing A/B testing

Experience implementing SEO best practices, improving page speed and core web vitals

Experience working with AI tools to expedite code development

Excellent technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational and presentation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and manage priorities, present, and share strategies, working across organizational teams to deliver results.
