Physician / Psychiatry / Mississippi / Locum or Permanent / Psychiatry / Locums

• Work Dates Needed: ASAP, Ongoing/Full Time

• Preferred Schedule: 40 hours per week, including on-call availability

• Worksite Setting: Detention (ICE) Center housing adult ICE detainees

Scope of Work:

• Provide direct patient care and clinical duties.

• Assess patients and provide DSM diagnoses.

• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.

• Develop and implement treatment programs for inmates/residents.

• Perform casework services including counseling (individual, group, and family).

• Supervise facility-based mental health staff.

• Collaborate with the onsite Medical Director and mid-level providers.

• Evaluate and recommend methods for improving operational efficiency.

• Participate in civil commitment proceedings and other administrative tasks.

• Ensure confidentiality of patient records and audit services provided.

• Provide crisis intervention, emergency medical aid, and diffuse disruptive situations.

• Licenses, Certifications, Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license.

• DEA license.

• Advanced degree in Psychology or related clinical area.

• Appropriate certification or license in the state of employment (Mississippi).

• Five years of clinical experience (two years in a comparable position).

• Valid driver s license.

Pay Rate Preferred: $225/hour
