Overview
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for managing and preparing all raw materials for the Press Operators according to the specifications outlined on the blueprint and planning sheet. This role involves cross-training in other departments to ensure a well-rounded understanding of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and adhere to safety protocols, including emergency stop procedures for machines, safe operation of pallet jacks, identifying pinch points, handling blades, and proper lifting techniques
  • Clean rollers, wipe down surfaces, replace blades, and ensure all tools and materials are returned to their proper place at the end of the day
  • Understand the components of the job jacket, perform quality checks on blueprints against production plans, validate measurements, and navigate the computer system to access and print job jackets with blueprints
  • Locate materials, use FIFO (First In, First Out) method to pull older materials first, issue the correct width/footage to the job, and deliver it to the appropriate station. Return materials to the shelf with updated footages when jobs are complete
  • Cut materials to the required width, accurately calculate total required footage, and properly tag split material rolls
  • Set pressure to avoid bubbles between layers of construction
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to move materials as needed

Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
  • Proficiency in navigating computer systems for job jacket management
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials as required

Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:30AM - 4:00PM)

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly
