As a leader, you will create strong partnerships across the business to ensure delivery of our Supply Chain strategies in line with our Growth agenda. You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing our Plant multi-functional teams to identify best practices and improvements that will increase our Reliability, Productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Your goal will be to establish an Agile and synchronized Supply chain.
How you will contribute
You will:
Work cross-functionally to develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan and annual operating plan, proactively identify key opportunities and link strategy to action to enable safe, reliable, flexible, and cost-efficient manufacturing capability that is a demonstrable competitive advantage to Mondelēz. Partner with multi-functional leads to define and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement goals. Establish a strong governance to review & control operational performance and continuous improvement plan, and embed a zero-loss mindset across the site to deliver against best in class both internally and externally.
Provide coaching towards implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 Sigma ways of working and phase journey as per masterplan and self-sufficient teams. Role model values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring, and development of the multi-functional team.
Be accountable to protect the value of the assets through appropriate assessment of needs and planning of spend. Lead and be accountable for all Manufacturing standards, Governance, and Compliance requirements to ensure they are in place, understood by all employees at the site, and regularly reviewed and monitored for compliance to policy.
Lead and be accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Plant - identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and build capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future.
Interface with key stakeholders internally & externally to establish/maintain effective relationships, align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives and goals, and build the company equity and image.

Significant experience in leading manufacturing performance in a fast-moving manufacturing environment with exceptional results (FMCG experience) with a career that has seen time at the Front Line and/or Manufacturing Manager level. Demonstrable and intuitive knowledge on fundamentals of good manufacturing practice, process improvement and optimization, reconfiguration and imbedding of new or enhanced technology, managing costs and variance, motivators and engagement levers for shop floor based performance, experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5S, LEAN, 6 Sigma tools and concepts.
Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving, and team building with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
Experience in interfacing with the broader Supply Chain and Commercial functions and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Category, and Sales.
Responsibilities include:
Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility.
Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
Initiate, maintain, and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives, and ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aligned and aware of the safety culture and guidelines.
Develop, execute, and maintain the budget for the manufacturing facility.
Drive investment to ensure long-term conversion and usage competitiveness of the plants.
Elaborate and/or update an annual conversion and yield roadmap for the plant organization and identify specific projects to satisfy cost reduction targets as per productivity strategies.
Execute Mondelez Category growth initiatives and new product launches.
Analyze workforce requirements and ensure Plant operates in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Encourage and promote operating in an Integrated Lean Six Sigma environment.
Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
Ensure a 0 loss, 100% engagement mindset throughout the facility.
Coordinate the relationship with our union workforce and support the negotiation of union contracts as needed.
Ensure that all plant functions are working under best possible practices and environment regarding all existing internal and external policies and procedures in respect of Mondelez’s role within the community (i.e., safety regulations, plant security, and environmental policies).
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical Field.
At least 8 years of fundamental knowledge and experience within a supply chain environment.
Demonstrated TPM / Lean Six Sigma experience.
Ability to blend people into teams; creates strong morale and spirit in their work; defines success in terms of the whole team.
Effective at leading and managing change.
Trust and empower the team while holding team and others accountable.
Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Ability to deliver results through being an inspirational leader.
Experience dealing with labor unions preferred.
This position is on-site in our Chicago Plant: 7300 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago IL 60629
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $136,200 - $238,350. The exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
