As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect/Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for creating and developing the architecture of our cybersecurity systems, ensuring the cyber resiliency of Honeywell and our customers, while safeguarding our products and solutions. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our organization's cybersecurity breakthrough and disruptive technology development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies to protect our products, systems, and data, and identify and lead new internal and external business development opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Guiding the design and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Develop the architecture of cybersecurity systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and monitor for potential threats. Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Work with our team to identify and lead new internal and external business development opportunities. Acting as a technical mentor, providing guidance and facilitating to junior cybersecurity professionals.

The annual base salary range for this position is $178,000.00 - $222,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations. This position is incentive plan eligible. YOU MUST HAVE Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related field. 6+ years experience in a cybersecurity research and development position. Research experience: developing new concepts, writing proposals, and working on government R&D projects from DARPA, DOD, NASA, FAA, Homeland Security, or other U.S. government agencies. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, network security protocols, PKI, encryption algorithms, vulnerability assessment tools, and best practices. Experience designing and implementing security and safety solutions for complex systems and networks. Experience leading and managing projects. Proficiency in software development and in programming languages such as C/C++, Python and/or Java. Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
WE VALUE Experience with Industrial Communications Protocols such as Profinet, BLE, I2C, SPI, UART, and MIL-STD-1533. Experience developing and applying AI/ML methods to cybersecurity applications. Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools. Experience developing software in a real-time operating system environment. Use of source control tools like Git, BitBucket. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards such as DO-326A/DO-356A. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience working in an Agile framework. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and people-oriented skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
