Position Summary: RAN has an opening for a full-time position on our Digital Engagement Team for an International Digital Campaign Strategist working with our Forest Program. This position can be done out of our Tokyo, Japan office, remotely from anywhere in the US, or out of our San Francisco, CA office. The International Digital Campaign Strategist will work closely with RAN’s Forests Program to provide the digital strategy and technical backbone necessary for effective online campaigning in support of our campaigning work based in the UK, Japan, and Indonesia. The successful candidate will know how to utilize digital channels to compel online and offline action. They will have a passion and proven experience using social media as a campaigning tool with a focus on Japanese language and social media channels. The Digital Campaign Strategist will be responsible for evaluating data, testing, and reporting back on insights and knowledge gained from each online action completed. Specific Duties: Working alongside the campaigners & under general supervision of the Digital Campaigns Manager, the Digital Campaign Strategist will assist with planning and executing all aspects of robust campaigns in the digital space. Assist with building, testing, and deploying online action pages. Use Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other data reporting tools to track all communications and their impacts. Manage followers on social media and implement strategies to grow reach, with specific focus on building new channels focused on Japan. Support other aspects of RAN’s work as requested by your supervisor. Required Language Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position must be fluent in both written and spoken Japanese and English. Additional Required Qualifications: Ability to create high-level campaign materials in English and Japanese; Demonstrated excellence using eCRM advocacy tools; Strong organizational, time management and project management skills; Passionate commitment to forests protection, human rights, climate change and/or corporate campaigning; Ability to work independently from a remote location. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an organizer or campaigner with an advocacy non-profit; Compensation The salary for this position is competitive for the small non-profit San Francisco Bay Area market, with a target range of $53,000 - $58,000.
