Roles and Responsibilities: As a Level 3 Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and debugging of software applications. This includes researching, identifying, and implementing solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary software problems.
Essential Functions:
Work with algorithm engineers to design and implement algorithms that are both performant and extensible to new mission areas (e.G. OPIR, Radar) and platforms (e.G. X86, ARM, cloud) Integration of capabilities into new and existing programs Software development using Agile Methodology Utilizing Jira to document bugs and enhancements Software engineering support for multi-language (Modern C++, Python, and Java) and complex software systems Enhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team Preparation of software documentation and models Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience. Linux experience C/C++ proficiency Object Oriented Programing (OOP) experience Configuration management software experience (i.E. Git, etc.) Containerization and cloud experience Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs Preferred Skills: OO design pattern and modern data structure experience Configuration management software experience (i.E. Git, etc.) Software development and troubleshooting in a team environment Legacy software and modernization effort experience C++ Template Metaprogramming Java, Python, and shell scripting language experience Agile development experience Atlassian Tool Suite experience Technical leadership experience Full software development lifecycle experience
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $120.00-$150.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
