This role requires effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n\n Patient Care:\n\nAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs.\nMonitor patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatments.\nAdminister medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.\n\n\n\n Clinical Documentation:\n\nMaintain accurate and thorough patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.\nCommunicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and any changes in condition.\n\n\n\n Collaboration and Communication:\n\nCoordinate care with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.\nEducate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care.\n\n\n\n Technical Skills:\n\nOperate and maintain medical equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacuums, and telemetry monitors.\nPerform procedures such as catheterizations, wound care, and IV insertions.\n\n\n\n Patient Advocacy:\n\nPromote patient safety and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.\nAddress patient concerns and ensure comfort and dignity throughout the care process.\n\n\n\n Emergency Response:\n\nRecognize and respond to deteriorating patient conditions, including initiating life-saving interventions when necessary.\nActively participate in code teams and rapid response scenarios.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\nLicensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.\nEducation: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.\nCertifications:\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification.\n\n\n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #29957301.
