We are looking for a seasoned Controls Engineer to join our team and drive the design, development, and implementation of control systems across a range of industrial projects. In this senior position, you will work closely with the engineering team and clients to ensure successful project execution, staying on schedule and within budget. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior engineers in control systems practices. Key Responsibilities: Lead the testing and commissioning of control systems, verifying they align with project specifications. Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts. Work with multidisciplinary teams to establish timelines and plans for new installations or system upgrades. Design and implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and other relevant control technologies. Provide hands-on technical support during system installations, start-up, and commissioning phases. Conduct and document equipment safety risk assessments in accordance with ISO12100. Stay informed on new control system technologies and best practices. Oversee the development and updating of technical documentation for all control systems. Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians in control systems design and programming. Contribute feedback in design reviews on electrical and instrumentation components. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. 9+ years of experience in controls engineering or a similar discipline. Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI programming, with experience in SCADA systems (Ignition). Proficiency in creating electrical schematics and layouts (SolidWorks Electrical). Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus). Solid experience in functional safety design based on ISO and IEC standards. Skilled in programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB.
