Registered Nurse (Per Diem Days) - OBGYN Women's Wellness
Who You Are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional with a passion for women's wellness and OBGYN care. You excel in a collaborative setting, utilizing your critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and provide outstanding patient-centered care.
What You'll Do:
* Assess patient behavior and developmental patterns holistically, considering the family unit. * Collect and incorporate clinical data from diagnostic tests into the assessment process. * Communicate patient status and assessed needs to the healthcare team professionally, timely, and in an organized manner. * Perform fetal monitoring and breastfeeding education. * Formulate clinical nursing decisions based on advanced knowledge and collaborate with team members to develop educational programs for the cardiac population. * Monitor and evaluate patient learning processes and modify teaching plans based on outcomes. * Exhibit efficiency and organization in clinical practice, planning for both immediate and long-term patient needs. * Serve as a resource and trainer for colleagues regarding competencies, policies, procedures, and clinical practices. * Function as a preceptor for new staff and perform Relief Charge Nurse duties as needed, providing direction and guidance to nursing team members. * Delegate tasks appropriately and implement unit-based quality assurance activities, including data collection, tool development, and analysis.
What You'll Bring:
* Graduate from an approved school of nursing. * Minimum 1-2 years of women's health, OBGYN or labor and delivery nursing preferred. * Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. * Successfully complete Department of Transportation Hazardous (DOT) Materials training within 90 days of start date. Recertification must be completed every three (3) years. * Successful completion of basic fetal monitoring course preferred. * Successful completion of breastfeeding education course preferred.
