Position Overview:
Technical Server Administrator Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiencies working with:
Windows Server / Desktop operating systems, user's administration, file system, software, and services. Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration. Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup. Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall. Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption. Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, ksh or Perl for automating routine tasks. Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts. Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data. Patch and firmware installation and management. Strong customer service mindset, providing +1 end user support experience.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with a safety mind set. Must also exercise good judgment, integrity, and render sound business decisions. Should possess strong oral and written communication skills and able to produce documentation on solutions and system design. Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 8 years' experience in IT Support. Should possess strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage including scripting experience for automation. Design and implementation of VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments. Managed Nutanix clusters. Nutanix Administration Nutanix Support Specialist
Preferred Skills:
Ability to intrepid, modify and write scripts and SQL queries. Automation Scripts
