About the Position: This position is located at TACOM, Field Support Operations at Fort Leonard Wood. Responsibilities Receive all incoming shipments that are direct delivered, verify items received against shipping documents and sign for receipt after counting and identifying. Maintain property accountability for all nonexpendable property and functional maintenance of all sub-hand receipts, utilizing an automated supply system such as the Global Combat Support System, ADP and manual procedures. Initiate requests for turn-in of supplies and equipment, to include, coordinating the inspection and classification process for excess/unserviceable equipment, in preparation for turn-in. Use office automation equipment in the performance of duties, to prepare documents. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making Manages and Organizes Information Manages Resources Technical Competence Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing equipment issue and turn-in; maintaining accountability of sub-hand receipts; utilizing automated and manual procedures conducting hand receipt maintenance; and/or operating a motor vehicle, to pick up, deliver and turn in supplies and equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education N/A Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
