ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and maintains manufacturing equipment (or work with vendors to do so)
- Supervises the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing facility
- Performs carpentry, electrical, welding and plumbing duties as required
- Supervises the activities of Maintenance Associates
- Supervises and performs preventative maintenance and repairs and assures compliance to all building codes
- Requisitions and maintains maintenance supplies and equipment in an orderly manner
- Regularly inspects machinery in operation to assure proper functioning
- Analyzes and resolves equipment problems or assists operators in solving work equipment problems
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Plant Manager
- General knowledge of the operation of air-jet and mechanical mills, ribbon blenders, turbo screens and vibratory screens
- General knowledge of the assembly, disassembly, cleaning, passivation and inspection of manufacturing equipment
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices
- Follows Good Documentation Practices; records all pertinent operations in logbooks and controlled documents
- Reports to the Plant Manager
