Joliet Slammers Marketing & Corporate Services Internship (Spring/Summer 2025)
Company Overview:
The Slammers are the professional baseball team in Joliet a part of the Frontier League, a "Partner League" of Major League Baseball, that are dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for fans in the city of Joliet and surrounding Chicagoland area. The right individual will be an integral part of the team to promote the Slammers positive culture, attitudes, and experiences for fans of all ages across all platforms. This role will report to the Manager of Events and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
The Joliet Slammers are committed to providing a quality educational experience through our seasonal internship program. Internships will provide you with the necessary tools to help you advance in the field of sports management and become a sought after member of the sports business world. The Slammers' environment will provide the perfect laboratory for students in all aspects of sports to receive an integrated learning experience. No other learning experience provides the diversity and magnitude of possibilities. Although there is no job with the Slammers guaranteed following completion of the internship, the educational experience will be invaluable moving forward as you enter the sports business field.

Responsibilities:
- Create marketing elements and manage outreach for individual theme promotions; including press releases, flyers, graphics for social media and in-game video board
- Manage in-season social media channels; including, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok
- Support the Corporate Services team by connecting with major sponsors and providing great customer service when they attend games
- Assist the Corporate Services team by taking pictures and helping in the creation of proof of performance reports for the sponsors
- Interact with fans in a friendly, professional, and fun manner at the ballpark and outside events
- Assist with mascots at any community appearances and events
- Assist in the creation, brainstorming and execution of theme nights
- Assist pre-game as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
