As a SDM, you will be 100% focused on implementing major change throughout a complex low-latency, high throughput Publisher experiences including multiple 1st party publishers such as Prime Video FAST Channels, Freevee VOD & FAST, Fire TV Channels and advertising ecosystem. Your team will tackle some of the hardest engineering problems at Amazon.

You will also be excellent at driving results, being able to build solutions for large, multi-functional projects on-time, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. The right candidate for this role will have exceptional partner and stakeholder management skills, and be able to quickly earn trust and influence other senior technical leaders. You are responsible for defining technical design and building world-class software that pushes boundaries.

We’re looking for an experienced, motivated software engineering manager with a proven track record of building web applications and services. You’ll be responsible for owning, leading and delivering highly scalable systems that will be used by customers to build, manage and deliver innovative ad campaigns. Our team works across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
Lead a team of Engineers including Senior SDEs to design and deliver performant, scalable, and elegant solutions that directly address customer needs.

Partner closely with APM & Pubtech PEs, Product managers and Publisher teams to effectively prioritize work and manage dependencies and delivery plans.

Manage operational excellence for your org, demonstrating your ability to look around corners, manage efficiency, and continuously evolve our tech stack to serve our global customer base

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Brand Advertising/Performance Advertising domain knowledge

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
