The mission of the Shopping Foundations ATLAS team is to build tools and capabilities used across Shopping teams to annotate data for LLM and Shopping ML models. We enable model builders to source the data they need to build, evaluate and improve their models.


Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and help deliver our vision of human in the loop tooling for generative AI. As a seasoned software engineer, you will participate in all parts of the software development process, from collaborating with stakeholders and product teams on design, to implementing that design in a scalable and extensible way. You will collaborate with a talented team of Software Engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers and Operations teams. You'll have the freedom (and encouragement!) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers.


Minimum Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  4. 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  5. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
