Join our Amazon Private Brands Intelligence organization in building science and tech solutions at scale to delight our customers with products across our leading private brands such as Amazon Basics, Amazon Essentials, and by Amazon.
Our team uses Machine Learning, Statistics, and Econometrics to develop scalable data-driven solutions to drive strategic business decisions and optimize product inputs. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team of Scientists, Economists, Engineers, and Product Managers incubating and building day one solutions using cutting-edge technology, to solve some of the toughest business problems at Amazon.
As a Senior Economist at Private Brand Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to invent novel solutions and prototypes, and directly contribute to bringing your ideas to life through production implementation. You will also work closely with economists/scientists across the org on their model designs and implementations, and find synergy in science research and prototypes across different projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in economics or equivalent
- Experience in causal inference modelling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in building statistical models using R, Python, STATA, or a related software
- Experience in developing and executing an analytic vision to solve business-relevant problems
- Experience in econometrics (e.g., program evaluation, forecasting, time series, panel data, or high dimensional problems), economic theory, and quantitative methods
- Experience of productionizing science models and deploying them to handle high-volume, high-velocity data in a production environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
