Requirements for this Flooring Division Warehouse / Field Associate jobCandidates must possess several key skills and qualities to excel as a Flooring Warehouse/Field Associate at Storr Office Environments in Raleigh, NC. While commercial flooring experience is preferred, individuals with similar backgrounds and mechanical aptitude will also be considered. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Candidates should be proficient in communication through various channels and be able to adapt to using Microsoft Office software.
Additionally, the role may involve heavy lifting and operating machinery such as forklifts and reach trucks, so physical capabilities and a willingness to learn new tasks are essential. The knowledge and skills required for the position are:

- Commercial experience in the flooring industry is preferred, however will consider applicants with comparable experience and mechanical skills.
- The ability to work 40 hrs to include a Monday-Friday schedule, one night a week, and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills including email, text, and phone.
- Heavy lifting (100 pounds), moving, unloading, etc... as required of an installer.
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to learn and perform tasks related to required machinery: Forklift, Reach Truck, and Picker.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, crouching, crawling.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to deal with pressure and meet deadlines.
- Multitask abilities.
- Self starter, able to work with little supervision as needed.
