Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. Professional will be providing on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled/safe environment.

This opportunity provides a great source of supplemental income and a valuable experience in a public health setting, while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.


Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and breakdown of room.
  • Sterilization of all equipment.
  • Take/process x-rays.
  • Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
  • Work with portable/mobile equipment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job training
  • One (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferred
  • Active x-Ray Certification
  • CPR/BLS
  • Valid Driver License
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Some travel required
