Are you a skilled and experienced phlebotomist looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We're seeking a Phlebotomist - Floater to join our team and provide exceptional patient care across multiple locations.
What You'll Do:
As a Phlebotomist III - Float, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing phlebotomy services: Drawing quality blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating a positive and reassuring atmosphere.
- Floating across locations: Providing coverage for various roles, including Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy.
- Ensuring operational excellence: Ensuring that daily activities are completed accurately and on time while demonstrating leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence.
- Mentoring and coaching: Acting as a coach, mentor, and instructor for new employees, providing onboarding services, and serving as a point of contact for on-site staff.
- Handling complex cases: Working with customers who have high-complexity or high-volume practices, requiring specialized phlebotomy skills and excellent customer-facing abilities.
- Collaborating with teams: Working effectively with Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics teams to address complex test orders.
- Managing multiple priorities: Handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in keyboard/data entry.
