Job Title: Overnight Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location: Compassion Behavioral Health, FARR housing on Andrews in Fort Lauderdale
Shift: 12:00 AM 8:30 AM, including weekends

Job Description:

Compassion Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The BHT will provide direct care and supervision for our clients during the overnight shift, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise clients throughout the night, ensuring safety and adherence to facility rules.
• Conduct regular bed checks and log observations in the appropriate documentation.
• Assist with daily living activities, including waking clients up for morning routines.
• Manage crisis situations and provide de-escalation when necessary.
• Ensure that all clients are accounted for, following the established protocols for any discrepancies.
• Provide medication observation and document in the KIPU EMR.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation and shift reports.
• Assist with light cleaning duties, such as resetting rooms and common areas after use.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Uphold the facilitys policies and maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive demeanor towards clients and staff at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional certification or training in behavioral health is a plus.
• Previous experience in a behavioral health or residential care setting preferred.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and handle crisis interventions.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required
• Active and valid Drivers License
