Our nonprofit client is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support their team in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks such as maintaining files, scheduling meetings, handling phone calls, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expense reports. This individual will support upper management and ensure smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and address inquiries promptly
- Maintain and update calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare meeting rooms
- Handle clerical tasks including filing paperwork, scheduling appointments, and sorting mail
- Produce and distribute memos, letters, and other correspondence
- Book travel arrangements and organize conferences or conference calls
- Submit and reconcile expense reports, monitor invoices, and approve expenditures
- Order office supplies and manage inventory
- Assist in creating presentations and provide information by responding to requests
Qualifications:
- Experience in maintaining files, data entry, answering phone calls, and working alongside upper management in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Dependable, proactive, organized, and professional
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster required
