Install or repair heating, central air conditioning, HVAC, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot-air furnaces, and heating stoves.
In Durham Tech's HVAC (Continuing Education) courses, students will work with equipment following safety standards and protocols, to develop skills required for entry-level employment as a technician in the HVAC industry.
Students who wish to eventually become a facilities maintenance technician, would complete the Industrial Systems Technology HVAC certificate and apply those credits to the Industrial Systems Technology Facilities Maintenance Technology AAS degree program.
