Job Description

We are seeking a skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, equipment inspections, and building upkeep while contributing to specific projects. This role is crucial for ensuring plant operations meet the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and align with our Customer-first strategy. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and facility pipe and electrical systems.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complete scheduled work orders and respond to unplanned or emergency tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
  • Utilize maintenance systems for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Document all work order information and completion details.
  • Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Contribute to plant initiatives focused on minimizing downtime and optimizing operations.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Adhere to the Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Be comfortable working with ingredients or products containing food allergens.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Proficient mechanical skills in one or more areas: electrical, welding/fabrication, utilities, or basic PLC systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong sense of urgency during downtime.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer literacy and skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic technician or relevant technical training/certification.
