Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Branford, CT
Employment Type:Contract, Full-Time (35-40 hrs/wk)
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Rate:$35-42/hr
Caseload Details: Middle School and Elementary Caseload Openings
Required Licensure: Active CTSpecial Education License
Required Skills: Must have knowledge of CT SETs Program and be comfortable with standardized testing and assessments

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
• ACTIVE Special Education Licensure in the state of CT
• Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
