POSITION SUMMARY

hTe Shipping and Receiving Specialist will receive and verify all incoming and outgoing ground shipments and loads/unloads all shipping and receiving items. They will organize warehouse inventory and distributes among the Rosenbauer campus accordingly. Also, they will operate and maneuver a forklift in order to complete all Materials department tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauers Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Receives and verifies all incoming and outgoing ground shipments and loads/unloads all shipping and receiving items.
  2. Organizes warehouse inventory and distributes among the Rosenbauer campus accordingly.
  3. Operates and maneuvers a forklift in order to complete all Materials department tasks.
  4. Creates commercial documents for imports and exports.
  5. Verifies all shipments through documentation and inspects any incoming deliveries for damages.
  6. Answers phone calls from other departments to maintain strong communication through shipping and receiving processes.
  7. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

K

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Forklift certification.
  • 3 years of shipping and receiving preferred.

Skills:

Language:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Math:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

A

Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields.
  • Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
  • Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
