We currently seek to fill the role of Prep and Finish to clean and prepare parts for inspection or as part of the standard manufacturing process, all while advancing KBCs mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.



Responsibilities:
  • Processes parts following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications, while meeting routed hours.
  • Selects proper sanding or grinding accessories for deburring and sanding parts per job requirement.
  • Safely operates machine press, shears, and plasma cutter to complete job according to specifications.
  • Verifies the presence of broken bits and removes from drilled plates as needed.
  • Verifies defects in drilled plates and communicates findings to the lead.
  • Completes TIG welding as needed on specific jobs.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED required).
  • This position requires the knowledge of standard tools, materials methods, and practices required in assembling product.
  • Also required is the ability to read and interpret blueprints, read precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.), and operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Must be able to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Should have the ability to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools used in assembly.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; anything over 50 pounds requires two people, or the use of a lifting device.
