Phoenix Loss Control (Phoenix orPLC) is abusiness servicesproviderin the cable, telecom, and utilities sector. PLCs core service is outside plant damage investigation, recovery, and prevention. We help our clients recover the costs of third-partydamageto their infrastructure, such asunderground fiber optic or gas lines. POSITION SUMMARY
Phoenix Loss Control is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial and Data Analyst to join our team. As a Financial and Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to provide valuable insights and support decision-making processes within the company. Additionally, you will work closely with our outside plant damage recovery team to optimize operations and drive efficiency in our recovery processes.
This position is exclusively available to residents of MN, TX, or FL.
Duties
- Collect and analyze financial and operational data to track performance and identify trends
- Prepare KPI and financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain models to guide business planning and strategy
- Collaborate with the outside plant damage recovery team to optimize recovery processes
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement through data analysis
- Work with the engineering team to build out reporting functionality in our proprietary database
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to drive business improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree (preference for Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field)
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Financial or Operations Analyst (or in a related role)
- Expert Excel skills, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools
- Background and experience in Power BI required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Personal computer and high-speed internet access
