- Collaboration: Work closely with operations and business leaders to understand management objectives and identify relevant data and metrics.
- Data Validation: Set parameters and requirements for data to be gathered; validate collected data through statistical testing and independent judgment.
- Data Synthesis: Bridge the gap between technical reporting and practical application, synthesizing data points to create relevant metrics and observations.
- Analysis Techniques: Select appropriate computational or data manipulation methods for research and analysis.
- Model Development: Develop mathematical and simulation models of problems, applying expected constants, variables, and conflicting objectives.
- Reporting Support: Assist the C-suite in auditing and reporting data through presentations, using technical insights to create clear, actionable slides for business calls.
- Comprehensive Data Analysis: Analyze all relevant data, including inventory, sales/logistics, and employee costs. Evaluate performance over time-past, present, and future-to inform decision-making.
- Project Engagement: Engage in ongoing efforts to optimize existing data systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Confidentiality Management: Handle sensitive information, such as salaries and bonuses, with the utmost confidentiality.
- Process Improvement: Based on data analysis, assist in the creation, development, and implementation of business methods and procedures aimed at optimization and growth.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and distribute reports that identify, explain, and evaluate problems and available solutions, ensuring that the company/ has the necessary data to make informed decisions.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Mathematical Skills: Excellent mathematical abilities with experience in creating and conducting simulation models, data reduction, and trend analysis.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate technical insights into actionable recommendations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze information and think systematically.
- Business Analysis Skills: Proficient in understanding and analyzing business needs and applying data to decisions.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis software; skilled in data manipulation.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing and inventory environments is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Effective leader with well-honed communication skills and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
