Job Description
Metrics LLC is partnering with a core federal client to drive strategic analysis for the VA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. We’re seeking a Junior Data Analyst to perform detailed data analysis, compile insightful reports, and ensure data integrity, directly supporting the VA's decision-making processes. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, D.C., with one required on-site day per week. Current or recent federal experience with clearance and immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth data analysis to extract trends, insights, and opportunities.
- Create comprehensive reports and visualizations, including charts and graphs, to present findings effectively.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint-based data systems, including the SharePoint Data and Complaints Database, ensuring data quality and adherence to VA standards.
- Create advanced reports and visualizations using tools like Power BI to effectively present findings to stakeholders.
- Use VA-approved encryption tools for secure data handling, ensuring compliance with all data protection regulations.
- Support the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) by identifying and resolving data discrepancies and ensuring all deliverables meet performance standards.
- Collaborate with team members, attend and contribute to team meetings, and provide monthly progress reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis or a related area.
- Proficiency in data visualization and modeling, with preferred experience using SQL, Python, and R.
- Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint development and database management.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills; experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI is highly preferred.
- Understanding/familiarity with federal or defense contracting.
- Recent federal experience with active or recent security clearance is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work one day per week on-site in Washington D.C.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to present findings clearly.
