JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Principal Investigator for a subaward grant with the University of Georgia, this is a professional position requiring high level research operations as well as significant judgment and assistance in the administration and planning of the Workforce Development component of the project. This position requires strong communications, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; must be adept at turning data into organized and relevant information and information into actionable insight. The position is contingent upon external grant funding for a specific length of time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, validate, and document the identified gaps and disparities within sixteen (16) identified counties regarding population percentages below poverty level, high school dropout rates, ethnic disparities, percentage of minority farmers, percentage of the population earning bachelor and graduate degrees, and health disparities.
- Systematically collect, process, and perform analyses on data sets
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to managers and other internal and external parties as required to contribute to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and best practices
- Prepare and submit reports to Principal Investigator and other internal and external parties as required
- Design and prepare tables, figures and listings to illustrate analytic findings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICCATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, information technology, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
- Data Collection and Research Experience
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Working Conditions
- Travel required for gathering data
- May require working beyond normal working hours as business needs dictate
- Majority of work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
- Normal hand dexterity
