 Department: AthleticsJob Description                                                                                                                                                                         JD – SCTitle: Seasonal Coach      Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Coach to join our athletic department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, instructing, and motivating student-athletes in their specific sport while upholding and promoting the Christian values of Midland Christian. This role is vital in fostering both athletic skills and character development among students.Lines of Authority:Reports to the Athletic Director as well as Amanda FridayEducation:High School Diploma or GED Required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).Required Personal Qualities:

Required Spiritual Development:

• Is a baptized believer who is a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ.

• Is an active member of a local Christ centered community of faith.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the values of the Christian school.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience coaching at the secondary level, preferably in a school setting.

Essential Functions
Essential functions of this position include the following.  Employees in this position perform some or all of the following functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Coaching

• Lead and mentor student-athletes in your designated sport, providing instruction, guidance, and support in both skills development and character formation.
• Plan and Conduct regular practices, focusing on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Represent the school with integrity and sportsmanship at games, competitions, and events.

1. Spiritual Development

• Model Christ-like behavior and values through actions and interactions with students. Exemplary behavior and character consistent with Christian values, serving as a positive role model for students.

1. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
