Lifeguard - Seasonal

Full-Time/Seasonal

Non-Exempt/Hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safely lifeguarding pools and lake areas;
  • Anticipate, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies;
  • Administer First Aid;
  • Enforce rules consistently;
  • Perform various pool maintenance functions including back-washing, cleaning baskets and filters, and vacuuming the pool;
  • Report maintenance issues of pool equipment, facilities, and grounds to manager;
  • Provide excellent customer service to the guests of PADONIA by greeting guests and answering questions;
  • Complete the proper paperwork as a result of incidents and/or accidents;
  • Follow and enforce safety policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of patrons and staff using the facility;
  • Comprehend written and verbal instructions, retain information, and consistently enforce all PADONIA policies;
  • Ensure records and reports are completed as necessary and all applicable Health Codes, laws, and policies are adhered to;
  • Perform custodial maintenance as necessary;
  • Monitor participants to prevent accidents and injuries;
  • Complete attendance and progress reports weekly;
  • Follow all safety and health guidelines as outlined by the company; and,
  • All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age;
  • Current Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications;
  • Submit to pre-placement background check with favorable results;
  • Ability to read and carry out instructions and recognize safety warnings;
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions;
  • Ability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required;
  • Ability to work overtime if needed and authorized;
  • Energetic, motivated, organized;
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image; and,
