Sales Representative - Costco Roadshow

Are you outgoing and enthusiastic about interacting with people? If promoting the best brands to today's shoppers sounds appealing, a position as a Sales Representative with us, is the place for you! We are looking for part time Sales Representative who will promote products, share knowledge and put their selling to the test when engaging with consumers.

Hourly Wage:
  • $20-$22/hour

*$150 completion bonus of completed program shifts*

Program Dates/Schedule:
  • January 24th - February 2nd, 2025
  • Shifts: Friday-Sunday (10 consecutive days - you will have 2 days off during the course of the roadshow)
  • Hours: 9am-8:45pm on weekdays shifts will start in the morning or afternoon and weekends will rotate days off as you will be working the whole shift

*Able to work longer/overtime shifts if available OR please indicate if you prefer morning or afternoon shifts when speaking with the recruiter*

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, providing knowledgeable guidance on Backyard Products shed solutions.
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge of shed types, construction materials, customization options, warranties, and installation processes.
  • Consultative Selling: Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs, lifestyle requirements, and budget, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Sales Goals: Meet and exceed roadshow sales goals and performance targets by effectively communicating product value and closing sales.
  • Product Demonstrations: Provide hands-on demonstrations and tours of display sheds, highlighting key features, and quality of materials.
  • Order Processing: Guide customers through the order process, and how installation services work.
  • Store Maintenance: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the display area and sales floor to ensure a welcoming environment.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail or sales, preferably in home improvement, outdoor, or building materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to learn and retain product information quickly and explain complex details simply.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, materials, or outdoor products is a plus.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily on-site in a retail environment, with occasional outdoor work to show display sheds.
