Job Description
Warehouse Manager Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will lead daily operations overseeing our established team. The Warehouse Manager should possess experience in flooring, developing systems, and people to encourage collaboration and operational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced environment in temperatures cold in the winter and hot in the summer
- Demonstrates strong leadership and people development skills to grow current staff and identify future headcount.
- Managing the warehouse personnel schedule including vacation requests
- Working with multi-language subcontractors picking up and returning materials to warehouse.
- Serving two flooring companies under one roof while recognizing opportunities to improve workflow and operational accuracy within multiple systems.
- Strong computer and technical problem skills while using multi-devices such as cell phone, iPad, tablet, and computer.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate needs of the warehouse in reference to growth from a people, technology, and process development aspect.
- Manage all receiving processes including and not limited to rolls of carpet, pallets of LVP, Tile, Carpet tile and supplies from multiple vendors.
- Managing the logistics of pickups and deliveries scheduled by our scheduling and purchasing departments of materials from vendors and then to job sites.
- Managing trash pick-up of materials that are unloaded each morning from installations performed the day prior.
- Managing bailing of the pad including scheduling pickups from our recycling company and maintenance of the bailing machine.
- Assists with warehouse team to pull and stage all jobs for next day installs.
- Working with the scheduling department to ensure pick ticket clarification as it relates to inventory and loading out of jobs.
- Responsible for accuracy of inventory including daily cycle counting and quarterly inventory true-ups.
- Certifying employees on forklift
- Managing maintenance and service log of equipment and vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and longevity.
- Assists in all aspects of performing daily tasks for warehouse readiness of load-out, receiving, cleaning and maintenance, pickups, and deliveries.
- Implements and keeps current with all safety protocols in place for warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Two to three years of experience in flooring warehousing management experience.
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork oriented.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and demonstrates a coach like disposition.
- Willingness to train daily on personal development and soft skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Forklift Certification.
- Inventory experience.
- Computer skills.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but can be noisy, especially when operating machinery such as a forklift, blower, etc. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.

The incumbent is required to assist with moving carpet/pad or drive a forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
