We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team and contribute to our mission by maintaining a well-organized and efficient warehouse operation.

Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Associate at Kofile, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling and moving inventory using various equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and, if certified, a forklift. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential in maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment, where historical records and documents are carefully preserved and digitized.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Handling: Safely and efficiently load, unload, and move inventory, including historical records and documents, using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and, if certified, a forklift.
  2. Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing historical records and documents within the warehouse, ensuring their preservation and security.
  3. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on historical records and documents to ensure their integrity and compliance with preservation standards.
  4. Inventory Tracking: Use inventory management systems to track stock levels and report any discrepancies, with a strong focus on the accuracy and preservation of historical records.
  5. Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safety of others in the warehouse. Your commitment to safety is critical in preserving valuable historical records.
  6. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are free from obstructions and that historical records are stored in a safe and secure manner.
  7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting any issues or concerns related to the preservation and handling of historical records promptly.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Valid forklift certification (if required for the position).
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. consistently, including lifting overhead.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. consistently).
  • Comfortable working in various temperature conditions (e.g., cold storage environments).
