Job Description
The Warehouse Manager will lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of products for delivery. This role includes supervising warehouse personnel, managing schedules, and overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of orders. The supervisor will maintain the physical condition of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while optimizing space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring products are accurately prepared, staged, and loaded for delivery.Oversee the scheduling and productivity of warehouse associates to ensure all tasks, including picking, loading, and replenishing, are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Monitor and safeguard warehouse security procedures and protocols to protect assets and personnel.
- Maintain the warehouse’s physical condition by inspecting equipment, issuing repair orders, and managing replacements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, FDA requirements, and company safety policies to create a safe work environment.
- Implement and manage processes for end-to-end scanning, technology integration, and associate training.
- Support and enforce company policies by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance.
- Assist in capacity and space modeling to maximize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs), utilizing data-driven approaches to improve processes and outcomes.
Be available to cover other areas of the warehouse as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a food or regulated environment. Background in operational organization, with expertise in lean, Six Sigma, or other systems-based approaches.
- Proven experience in people management, with the ability to coach and develop associates.
- A commitment to a "people first" approach, ensuring a positive work environment and supporting employee development.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA rules, and other regulatory requirements relevant to food production.
- Technical skills in setting up and managing end-to-end scanning systems, space modeling, and productivity tracking.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and handle challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in cold (10º - 40º) environments.
