Our corporate headquarters reside in a 66,000 square foot building on a working waterfront in Massachusetts, with new state-of-the-art lobster processing lines, placing lobster and scallop processing under one roof. This dual production remains an incredible benefit to the company's broad customer base and offers production innovations to complement the companies' seafood appetizers and entrée offerings. In addition, the company is also producing an expanded fish species line that includes popular fish types in commodity packs and value add marinades/dry rubs. This program is an exciting part of our overall diversification as a company, as consumers enjoy increased seafood protein in their diets.
We are currently looking for the newest member of our Seatrade team at our newly expanded operation on Herman Melville Boulevard in New Bedford.
The Warehouse Coordinator should be a decisive and well-organized warehouse professional, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring productivity. This role involves overseeing warehouse activities to include frozen and fresh seafood commodities and dry goods.
Specific warehouse supervisor duties may include:
- Use of Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain accurate inventory control and packaging management.
- Must have previous supervisory experience, specifically in a food manufacturing/cold storage environment.
- Reports to Operations Manager(s) and partners with multiple departments to ensure safety, accuracy, production levels and inventory.
- Ability to multitask and delegate, if necessary, due to working in a busy environment where priorities can change at a moments’ notice.
- Oversees receiving and dispatch procedures for shipments.
- Assigns workloads and daily tasks to warehouse workers as needed.
- Communicates with plant personnel to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems.
- Monitors inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.
- Ensures inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Monitors warehouse workers to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
- Develops and improves warehouse processes and procedures.
- Supervises packaging, receiving, and shipping activities and completes all associated paperwork.
- Tracks in-bound and out-bound inventory.
- Ensures that all equipment is inspected prior to use on a daily basis.
- Keeps the Operations Manager informed of all problems and unusual matters.
- Monitors warehouse personnel for proper food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn always.
- Receies and unloads freight following correct procedures.
- Operates forklifts / electric pallet jacks safely.
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for all personnel.
- Supervises warehouse employees.

Job Requirements:
Must be high-lift forklift certified
Must have previous ERP experience (NetYield preferred but not required)
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency required
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am typical start time - occasional weekends
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
