Assist operations manager with oversight of daily tasks at SMSI.

Compensation:

$25 + hourly DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Be aware of all aspects of oversight that you will be assisting with.
  • When the move to the second Springfield facility takes place, monitor all Chestnut activities: opening/closing, layout/storage, housekeeping/organization, and yard/parking lot.
  • Identify safety concerns and coordinate corrections.
  • Monitor all areas regarding housekeeping and organization.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop plans for maintaining their areas.
  • Develop/maintain a schedule for maintenance projects.
  • Supervise warehouse employees to ensure maintenance projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and as planned.
  • Maintain cross-department support for pickup, delivery, and fleet management utilizing warehouse resources.
  • Assist in documenting current/future processes.
  • Enforce SMSI rules for parking: vehicles/trailers/equipment.
  • Oversee inclement weather procedures.
  • Oversight of shipping/receiving / and freight including; data entry for all deliveries, validation of product condition and quantity, labeling product, coordinating loading/unloading of trucks, and notifying departments of receipt and location.
  • Special tasks as assigned.
  • Periodic assistance at other locations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a related field.
