Job Description
Trumbull Industries is an independent wholesale distributor providing plumbing and other products and services to Plumbers, Contractors, Industrial Manufacturers, Mechanical Contractors, Municipalities and Utilities. This position is located in Warren, Ohio at our Master Distribution Center and will perform all functions related to receiving, stocking, shipping. Starting wage is $18.62 with a $1.00 per hour shift differential for both afternoon and midnight shifts.
Job Duties
  • Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy to make sure that the contents are in good condition and that they match the original order and the accompanying invoice. If everything is correct, they record the arrival date and contents and then route the items to the proper departments. If there is a problem, they may return the shipment or contact the sender for a replacement or refund.
  • Filling orders by retrieving merchandise for an order from a warehouse.
  • Check that orders have been picked correctly, then package them according to the type of good and the purchaser's specifications.
  • Ensure that orders have been filled and packed properly. Prepare shipping documents or mailing labels for each shipment. This includes recording package information by weighing packages, calculating shipping costs, and recording the weight, date sent and anticipated date of arrival. Once the shipment is ready, associates move shipments from the factory or warehouse to the shipping dock where they direct loading of the shipment.
  • Track customer returns. Ensure correct goods go back to the warehouse, that replacement orders are sent correctly to the pickers, and that customer service representatives address any problems.


Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented and customer focused.
  • Must be able to take direction and execute task assigned.
  • Ability to work with warehouse equipment including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, various power tools, and RF barcode readers.
  • Able to perform tasks associated with heavy lifting.
  • Use a keyboard, do basic arithmetic, and should be comfortable using computers and computerized equipment.
