Job Description

General Description

A generally fast-paced, high-volume position, with a need for a self-motivated individual to fill the vital role of helping keep the Fulfillment and Sort Floor’s production up by assisting with the collective cleanliness, production, and safety of the entire Warehouse Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembling various packaging materials as needed throughout the day with Fulfillment TeamClosing, banding, and/or wrapping prepared packaging for Shipping products to customers.
Recognition of, and separation of reusable vs. non-usable returned packaging
Keeping packing materials such as Cell Block stocked on the floor for sort usage and battery terminal protection.
General housekeeping, and cleaning of warehouse and work areas including mezzanine area (sweeping, dusting, etc.)
Daily (at times, multiple) trash removal to the outdoor dumpster
Stacking, building, and organizing drums for fulfillment (Empty drums weigh 45-55 lbs EACH, and need to be stacked 2x high @ 8 drums per pallet) ***Team lift for anything > 40 lbs***
Depending on workload, the personnel may be directed to assist in other areas such as terminal protection, special request cleaning/organization tasks, and (with training) operating the floor scrubber.
Maintaining a mutual respect and communication line with fellow co-workers, including material handlers, S&H, Fulfillment, EV Teardown Dept., and Management
Additional tasks and duties may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous work in warehouse environment.
Independent decision making; as far as being able to prioritize areas of high to low importance based on current floor needs, as well as being able to remain busy in between the usual tasks.
Ensure a safe and secure work environment by following warehouse safety procedures and processes. Standing, walking, lifting, and bending is required most of the day.P.P.E. safety glasses and gloves required while working.
Must be able to lift 10-40 pounds frequently, every day.
Must be able to switch from task to task frequently as needed.
Able to take and follow direction to accomplish basic assigned tasks.
Can use (or can be trained to use) Power drills, Electric Saws-All, Floor-jacks, and other basic hand tools.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

High school degree or equivalent.
Somewhat mechanically inclined.
