Location: Onsite: Yuba City, CA
Location Status: Work will be primarily performed onsite in our office. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices

Summary:
As the Warehouse Lead, you oversee the efficient operations of the warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely handling of supplies and materials for both internal and external distribution. Your responsibilities include coordinating the retrieval, packaging, and dispatch of items, while also managing inventory transportation, sorting, and replenishment processes. With a keen eye for detail and adherence to safety protocols, you play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing warehouse productivity.
This individual should be able to communicate and work effectively with external service representatives and internal team members who possess a wide variety of backgrounds, personalities, and communication skills. This individual should be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment while maintaining a productive professional demeanor. This individual must be capable of working independently, as well as collaboratively with other Race team members across teams and levels of our organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- A valid driver's license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory
- Forklift certified required
- One to two years of related experience in warehouse operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience•
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory control practices, and proper handling methods
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English as the primary language used in the workplace
- Spanish bilingual skills are desirable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Materials Handling and Inventory Management:
- Transports incoming and outgoing materials using appropriate tools/vehicles
- Performs quality inspections on materials and products
- Sorts and stores materials according to inventory procedure
- Conducts physical inventory counts and replenishes stock
Shipping and Receiving:
- Picks, packs, and ships materials and products
- Process all packages for shipping and returned merchandise
Warehouse Operations:
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
- Participates in quality improvement efforts
- Acts as the first point of contact for warehouse staff
- Maintains knowledge of all shipping, receiving, and packing room activities
- Helps warehouse staff maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy
Administrative Tasks:
- Performs required administrative tasks, including reports and correspondence
- Assists with inventory control processes
- Maintains a working knowledge of operating systems in the work area
Sanitation and Safety:
- Assists with sanitation activities in the warehouse
- Follows safety programs and completes required safety training
Other duties as necessary may include but are not limited to:
- Successfully complete assigned training and examinations, as well as participate in ongoing performance and development reviews, and goal setting
- Be available to participate in internal or external meetings, special functions, and professional development opportunities
- Cross-train and share knowledge with other team members
- Support routine tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Lead Responsibilities:
- Adheres to team procedures and guidelines, as well as policies outlined in the Race Communications Employee Handbook.
- Provides support in identifying training needs and supports professional development initiatives to enhance team skills and performance.
- Helps onboard and mentor new team members to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Provides support to team members on various team matters, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Collaborates with team members to maintain a positive work environment by fostering open communication, addressing minor conflicts, and escalating issues as needed.
- Helps ensure team members have the tools and resources needed to succeed, assisting in tracking progress toward goals and providing status updates as requested.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring team alignment with organizational standards.
- This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. The Lead may assist in tasks related to supervision on behalf of the reporting supervisor or manager on duty, such as coordinating task assignments, timing of shift breaks, validating mid-level transactions, and escalating disciplinary and performance matters.

All new employees will participate in the mandatory 'Speedway to Success' (Speedway) orientation at one our offices. The duration of the Speedway program spans from 1-3 weeks, depending on the position. During Speedway the schedule will vary; you may not work full 8-hour days and there may be off days.
