Position Summary

Performs a variety of routine shipping, receiving, and production and housekeeping tasks. Shipping tasks include picking and shipment of orders. Receiving tasks include loading truck shipments and stocking the warehouse shelves. Production tasks include material handling, machine operations and labeling.

Here is what you will do...

  • Serves as a positive role model consistent with Polo’s corporate culture at all times.
  • Moves finished product from production to designated areas.
  • Properly stretch wraps skids for shipment.
  • Maintains product stock in work area.
  • Receives and unloads incoming material and compares information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipments.
  • Accepts or declines incoming freight according to receiving procedures.
  • Compares incoming goods identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies.
  • Labels all incoming raw materials and maintains accurate storage.
  • Verifies that Certificate of Compliance accompanies shipments.
  • Fills raw material tickets verifying and identifying information and quantities, and delivers to appropriate department.
  • Returns raw materials back to inventory after production.

Position Requirements

Here is what you will need to qualify...

  • Education: High school or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in warehouse helpful.

  • Ability to maintain records.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment with training.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, test gauges and equipment.
  • Ability to make quality decisions and solve minor problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, responsible, punctual and self disciplined.

Here are the physical requirements...

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs to carry and position objects on a frequent basis or more with proper equipment. Handles 200lb rolls with use of proper equipment.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate via phone, e-mail or in person to internal and external customers and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner 100% of the time.
  • Constantly moving about the facility, sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Frequently ascends and descends multi-level storage areas via-stairs.
  • Close visual work on the computer for long periods of time.
  • Frequently pinching, gripping, pushing, pulling, twisting and bending.

Here is the work environment...

  • Exposed to hot or cold conditions in warehouse area and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise and odors

Monday- Friday (9am-5pm)
