Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska is hiring: Warehouse Assistant in K

Position: Warehouse Assistant

Program and Location: Community Action Food Bank in Kearney Nebraska

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload shipments, receive food items, and ensure accurate shipping inventories.
• Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and organizing the warehouse.
• Respond to client requests & inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Operate vehicle to transport food and food boxes to distribution sites.
• Assist in food distribution both in Kearney and at designated food distribution clinics.

Qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Nebraska Driver’s License and have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (outdoors, and indoors) that includes frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and lift.
• Must be able to operate a forklift or be willing to learn.

Required Skills:

• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public as well as other agency employees.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Position Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Schedule/Hours: Position is part-time, 15 hours a week.

Pay Rate and Benefits: Starting hourly wage is $14.25. Position is part-time and not eligible for benefits.
