Job Description

Receiver is responsible for processing in all materials into inventory.

Essential responsibilities:

Receive delivery trucks at dock (Priority)

Inspect trucks and materials for hazards or damage and complete all required logs

Re-stack and organize pallets with like products adjacent to each other

Product identification and weight verification
Work closely with purchasing and quality departments to ensure accurate receiving.

Receive product into inventory/quality databases (Approximately 1 minute per ID)
Scan all receiving paperwork daily to server

Properly label all materials

Communicate receiving holds to purchasing department.
All receiving tasks completed and receivers submitted by end of shift.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with librarian responsibilities

Assist with cycle counter responsibilities

Cleanliness of warehouse (Sweep, stack pallets, wipe down pallets…)

Administrative assistance as needed.
Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies/skill Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good written and verbal skills are necessary.

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

English proficiency required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and converse and listen.

The employee must exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.

The Warehouse Receiver starting pay will be competitive and commensurate with the chosen candidate’s qualifications and experience. The target starting pay is $18.00. This is a Hourly Non-Exempt position, which is eligible for overtime pay.
