Position Description
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager owns and oversees daily warehouse logistics to operate at maximum efficiency, while identifying and executing on opportunities for process improvement. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example by leading and training employees and fostering a positive work environment. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring their Team consistently completes all warehouse tasks such as shipping and receiving, inventory management, and customer order fulfillment to meet established metrics and client expectations. This role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
Key Competencies Required to be Successful as a Warehouse and Logistics Manager
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse duties and responsibilities to meet and exceed targets; ensure all warehouse activities are performed safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with the management team to provide regular updates and promptly communicate any issues; provide solutions to resolve discrepancies and fulfill customer orders.
- Owns and manages the operational Profit and Loss (P&L) expenses for the facility, including all aspects of facility upkeep and maintenance, ensuring costs remain at or below budget.
- Conducts freight and parcel analysis and direction to manage cost while achieving on-time delivery metrics.
- Promotes operational excellence and identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction and develops/ implements solutions to resolve them. Ensures quality assurance checks are performed as required.
- Selects, hires and effectively onboards new employees, ensuring they receive the appropriate training to effectively perform job duties. Sets performance goals and monitors daily team performance. Individually evaluates employee performance and provides both real-time and formal biannual feedback.
- Manages shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies via UPS, FedEx, and other freight companies.
- Implements and maintains all aspects of warehouse standardization including inventory organization per standard templates, shelving layouts / builds for optimal operational efficiency; rotate inventory based as per shelf life
- Implements and maintains good housekeeping programs that ensure warehouse facility and designated work areas remain clean to promote a healthy, safe work environment.
- Ensures safe operation of motorized forklift and standard warehouse equipment. Audits to ensure daily checkpoint inspections are conducted and tracked for proper and safe operation.
- Manages inspection processes to identify product defects and damages and mitigates losses through available warranty claims.
- Other job duties as assigned or required to meet daily order fulfilment.
Education/Certification/Licenses
- BA in Supply Chain Management or related degree.
- At least 5-7 years previous warehouse management experience in a high-volume logistics operation.
- Hazmat Certified.

Target Base Compensation range for this Exempt role is $90-$95k annually DOE.
