Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager for will oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations for multiple sites throughout Louisiana and Mississippi, ensuring efficient and safe handling, storage and distribution of materials and supplies. This role requires expertise in inventory management, safety compliance and team leadership to support operations and ensure reliable customer service.
As part of a fast-paced environment the Warehouse Manager must be hands on, adaptable and entrepreneurial. The ideal candidate will be able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and will require up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools and equipment required.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to field crews and contractors.
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to optimize space and streamline operations.
- Work Closely with procurement, logistics and field operations teams to ensure seamless supply chain support.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and address supply issues.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of critical materials and reduce overstock or shortages.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems to track and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies and industry standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, tools and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff an maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to build a high performing team.
- Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring workload balance and efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address employee concerns or issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the supply chain team.
- Recommend improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Cost Management:
- Manage warehouse budgets effectively, implement cost-control measures and optimize inventory levels by reducing excess and idle stock to align with operational and financial objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree
Certification(s)
- Preferred: Logistics/Supply Chain Certification(s)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse or inventory management experience
- 10+ years of transferrable industry experience
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Preferred: Supply Chain procurement experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Work may require standing, walking, and other physical activities for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to outdoor environments.

Once the transactions are complete, Entergy's Louisiana natural gas operations and CenterPoint Energy's Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas systems will be operated by Delta Utilities.
