About the Job:

As Warehouse Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for all logistics operations at our Distribution Center to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule, identifying inefficiencies, and maintaining all workflow protocols and structure. You will have overall accountability for capacity planning, distribution center pace, warehouse inventory, and 3PL relations. You will work closely with sales and operations (to fulfill orders) to purchasing (receipt of goods), quality control (inspection of material) as well as inventory management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reconfirming a culture of constant improvement and change management.
  • Work with National Carriers and US Customs on import requirements and support our Finance department with any billing discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Business Operations in all logistical operations.
  • Assess current processes and procedures with the goal of improving efficiency.
  • Audit, control and report inventory.
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives for Austin staff.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
  • Identify areas for cost reductions and implement strategies for cost reduction and containment.
  • Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
  • Analyzing logistical challenges and producing new solutions.
  • Drive strategic reviews and analysis with 3PL's to understand capacity & financial opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure the 3PL is managing their Daily Operations in alignment with Sourceability priorities and meeting our customer and company requirements.
  • Manage Virtual Inventory and transactions when required.

  • In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
  • Knowledge of warehouse management operations and inventory control methods in a distribution environment
  • Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements
  • Good financial, analytical, contract knowledge and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management
  • Ability to effectively manage material handling staff.
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and multiple business applications
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably NetSuite.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time in a
    distribution environment.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Prior experience supervising staff

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • OR consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
