Overview:

Master Plumbing & Heating supports residential and commercial clients in preventative maintenance, installation, and repair services for plumbing and HVAC systems. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Procurement and Warehousing Coordinator will oversee procurement processes, maintain inventory accuracy, and manage warehousing operations to ensure that scheduled jobs have the necessary materials and tools available on time.


Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Order Coordination: Source and purchase materials, tools, and supplies required for scheduled jobs in alignment with company budgets and timelines. Ensure all items are onsite at least two (2) days before the scheduled start of work unless otherwise directed. Manage vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

  • Inventory Management: Set up and implement an initial inventory management system, ensuring it is accessible via a web-based application or mobile view. Conduct and maintain regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock levels. Manage inventory of all warehouse and service truck items, ensuring items are organized and returned to their proper locations. Handle unused material returns to suppliers and manage credits efficiently.

  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse space optimized for efficiency. Track, label, and manage power tools and equipment to ensure proper allocation and availability for service vehicles and technicians.

  • Logistics Support: Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of all purchased items. Deliver urgent parts to job sites if required to minimize technician downtime. Retain and manage delivery slips, matching them to supplier invoices and coordinating with Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate billing.

  • System Maintenance: Regularly review and update inventory management processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with team members to address gaps in procurement and inventory processes proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in procurement, inventory management, or warehousing, preferably in the plumbing or HVAC industry.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software and procurement platforms; willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in a warehouse environment.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience setting up or maintaining inventory management systems.

  • Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC products and materials.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
